Lillian Sum is an artist who I was lucky enough to work with a few years ago. We worked together at a School in Kapsi, southern India teaching an environmental message of recycling and renewable energy. We painted murals and with the great help from the local community created several large sculptures for the playground. Below is the tiger that I designed. We also made dinosaurs from recycled materials using solar powered lights and eventually spent 6 weeks completing our project. I recently got back in touch with Lillian and Im not surprised to see how busy she has been. Her website http://www.sacredearthtrust.org/ details her work and highlights the need for more action combatting serious problems with waste, water, biodiversity and all kinds of pollution in deprived areas globally.
